itzik, how did you conduct your search for a new job?
i started looking while still working at my previous job after notifying them of my intention to leave. i conducted my search on the internet, primarily via jobnet. i think the site is excellent and it served me superbly.

where did you hear about jobnet?
itzik: i don't think there's anybody who isn't familiar with jobnet. it's like google.
one of the advantages of jobnet is the fact that it gets updated at an incredible rate. every few minutes you can find new positions. it's a very smooth, user-friendly site.

how long did the search process take?
itzik: the desire to find a new job has been brewing in me for a long time, but it took a while for me to start sending resumes out. from the moment i began looking actively, within two weeks i had already found my job at comctech.

what did you search for?
itzik: i looked for a job as a network manager. i didn't want to work as a low-level technician. a network manager runs the client's entire computer system.

what did you do during the period between jobs?
itzik: i didn't spend a single day at home. i started working here right away – after breaking in my replacement, of course.

did you negotiate with any other companies?
itzik: i was close to closing with another company, but they dallied and in the meantime
i forged ties with comctech, which quickly led to signing a contract.

how did you eventually wind up at comctech?
itzik: after sending in my resume i received a letter saying they would be happy to meet with me and asking me to contact them. i called, we arranged an interview and the manager in charge of technicians tested me and found i fit their needs. that same day
i met with dror, one of the two company owners, and quite quickly he told me i was suitable and asked when i could start working.

did you have reservations? did you need time to think it over?
itzik: we clicked right away. i believe it's either right or it isn't. in any case i knew there was a trial period for both sides to assess whether it was workable. for me, this is definitely the right place.

on itzik's integration:
emanuel: itzik was hired at comctech about two weeks after we joined the service jobnet provides. for various reasons we just recently joined the service and in retrospect i'm sorry i didn't do so earlier. thanks to jobnet we found itzik very quickly and he was integrated here fully and successfully. we're very pleased with him and the responses from the customers are very positive. we soon placed him in charge of several of our key clients. the employee's level of professionalism is very important to us, but no less than his character. customers entrust us with their whole computer system and expect not just superb service, but also that we become a strategic partner who looks out for their best interests.

are you pleased with your move to comctech?
itzik: i'm very happy here, especially with the staff. there are really nice people here and they took me in very well. when someone comes to work eagerly it's a sign that he's pleased with the job. speaking for myself i can say i come in to work in the morning eager to get started.

do you see yourself staying at comctech for a long time?
itzik: if i can get promoted here i'd be glad to stay. everybody wants to advance in his job, both professionally and in terms of compensation.

what kind of a company is it?
itzik: it's a very warm and genial company.
emanuel: it's a very flexible company, both toward the customers and the employees. the atmosphere at comctech is very informal and we have no bureaucracy. there's an atmosphere of warmth and warm interactions among the staff, just like in a family.

in conclusion, do you have anything you'd like to recommend to jobseekers?
itzik: based on my experience, the moment you decide to look for work the most important thing is to look persistently. persistence means devoting at least two hours every day to sending out resumes and making sure to use only sites that are updated constantly, like jobnet.
