תיאור תפקיד:
abra R&D is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.
We are looking for an engineer with strong experience in C++ user-space development, low-level C programming for hardware bring-up, system-level integration, and hands-on work with FPGA-based platforms (Xilinx).
The system involves complex laser processing, image processing, data pipelines, and communication across multiple hardware modules.
Responsibilities
Develop user-space embedded and system-level software in C++ and Python.
Perform low-level C development for hardware interaction and board bring-up.
Lead board bring-up activities, from first power-up through full operational functionality.
Work with BSPs, kernel structures, and device drivers (kernel development not required).
Integrate and debug complex systems involving laser systems, imaging pipelines, data processing, and multi-module communication.
Collaborate closely with FPGA engineers and work with Xilinx-based FPGA platforms.
Utilize AI tools at a high level to support development, analysis, and testing workflows.

5+ years of hands-on software development experience – mandatory.
Strong proficiency in C++, with an excellent command of user-space embedded C++ development – mandatory.
Experience with Python for user-space embedded development – mandatory.
Experience with C for board-level bring-up and hardware interaction – mandatory.
Proven experience with board bring-up processes, from first power-up to full system operation – mandatory.
Solid understanding of BSPs, kernel concepts, and driver interaction.
Experience working with FPGA-based platforms – mandatory.
Experience working with Xilinx SoC platforms – an advantage.
Experience with Yocto – mandatory.
Experience with Buildroot – an advantage.
Experience with RDMA drivers – an advantage.
Experience working on multi-disciplinary systems involving laser systems, image processing, data processing, and system interfaces – an advantage.
Strong ability to utilize AI tools at an advanced level for development, analysis, and testing – mandatory.
