תיאור תפקיד:
abra R&D is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.
We are looking for a strong C++ developer with solid Linux experience in system-level and hardware-adjacent development, along with hands-on capability to work close to hardware when required (including board bring-up activities).
The system is part of an advanced industrial platform in the semiconductor manufacturing domain, involving inspection, metrology, and process control flows. The platform requires high reliability, robust data handling, and stable communication across multiple hardware modules.
Responsibilities
Develop system-level and hardware-adjacent components in C++ on Linux, focusing on performance, stability, and reliable data/control flows.
Perform low-level development in C for hardware interaction and board bring-up (debugging, integration, and lab work as needed).
Integrate, debug, and optimize software on SoC platforms with FPGA (Xilinx experience is a strong advantage).
Provide light support and maintenance for Yocto/BSP topics (not a dedicated BSP role)
Use Python for scripting and automation within development and testing workflows.

B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in embedded software development
Strong proficiency in C++ (modern C++ preferred) on Linux systems
Solid experience with low-level C programming and hardware interaction
Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, and lab work
Experience working with SoC platforms (FPGA-based systems – strong advantage, especially Xilinx) - Advantage
Familiarity with Linux internals (processes, memory, drivers, IPC, performance analysis)
Experience with cross-compilation and embedded toolchains
Basic familiarity with Yocto/BSP environments (support/maintenance level) - Advantage
Experience using Python for scripting and automation
Strong debugging skills across software and hardware boundaries
Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment
