Responsibilities:

Solve practical Data Science challenges.

End to end involving from the concept stages up to the fully operational system

M.Sc (85+) from a known university in Electrical Engineering-Must,
Extensive knowledge and experience with MATLAB and C/C++ programming-must
Knowledge and experience in digital signal processing – advantage
Experience with physical layers (PHY), modems - advantage.
Good interpersonal skills, team work, ability to work with dynamic environment.

Fast and self-learning capabilities

B.Sc. in Electrical / Computer Engineering from a leading university
At least 2 years experience in DSP CPUs programming in communication
Experience in MATLAB programming
Experience with CEVA DSPs – a significant advantage

You will design and implement game-changing wireless software-defined-radio (SDR) systems for advanced defense applications.

Key responsibilities:
· Lead advanced research and development of wireless SDR communication systems, implemented in FPGA, from initial conceptual and development stages to production
· Lead the design and development of the PHY and MAC algorithms
· Lead the Modeling and Simulations process
· Lead the engineers implementing the PHY and MAC in HW (RTL) and SW
· Lead the integration and verification process

· M.Sc./P.h.D in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics
· 8+ years of experience in digital signal processing, modem and wireless communications algorithms development and implementation
· Deep understanding of PHY signal processing related algorithms, such as timing recovery, signal estimation and detection, automatic gain control, RF impairment estimation and correction, channel estimation, FEC, equalization, etc.
· Knowledge of networking and wireless communication standards
· Experience with writing system requirements and implementation architecture for PHY and MAC
· Hands on experience with simulations in Matlab/C/C++/Python
· Hands on experience with design and development of algorithms for implementation in HW and SW.
· Experience in FPGA development and optimizations in RTL (Verilog)

Participating in the analysis, architecture and design of a multi standard (3GPP) SDR, as part of the company’s next generation chipset development
Architecture and Design
· Analyzing standard, marketing and product requirements to create PHY / LMAC requirements.
· Define the architecture in terms of: required algorithm performance, required resources (memory, latency, etc.), develop data path flows, top level SDR architecture.
· Lead features in an end-to-end approach (from product/standard definition through implementation up to defining criteria for compliance)
· Analyze system performance bottlenecks, suggest improvements as needed. Identify limitations. Perform initial study and modeling, as needed.
· Write detailed specification documents for implementation of Algo/DSP/FW teams.

Standard activity and innovations

Monitor on-going standard activity, identify topics with potential relevance to existing/new products
Evaluate new or missing features from our current design
Contribute as necessary to standardization activity, on a per demand basis

Cross-teams interaction and support

Communicate and update with product team
Interact and contribute to brainstorming with DSP/Algo/SW teams

Position Requirements
B.Sc in EE/Communication systems engineering from a university, focusing on signal processing for communication
10 years of experience or M.Sc in EE with at least 5 years of experience in:
Modem/Phy architecture and/or system engineering (can be combined with Algo and/or DSP)
Able to transform standardization papers into Phy requirements and design
Able to guide VLSI, Algo and DSP development from technical aspects
Team player, fast learner.
