תיאור תפקיד:
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop and maintain automotive tracking and security systems, with a focus on real-world reliability and complex field issues.
About the Role
The Embedded Firmware Engineer will develop firmware for cellular-connected automotive devices currently deployed across a fleet of tens of thousands of vehicles. The role covers both new feature development for upcoming product generations and reliability work on devices in the field.
Responsibilities
Develop firmware in C / C++ for new and existing cellular-connected automotive devices
Design and implement new features across the device stack (sensing, connectivity, security)
Integrate GPS / GNSS, BLE, and cellular communication modules
Manage power consumption and system states (Sleep / Wake / Voltage protection)
Implement device-to-cloud connectivity (HTTPS), OTA updates, and provisioning
Apply embedded security best practices (secure boot, signed firmware, TLS, credential storage)
Debug complex field issues and improve product reliability across the deployed fleet
Collaborate with hardware teams and suppliers
דרישות:
3–5+ years of embedded development experience with shipped real-world products
Strong proficiency in C / C++
Experience with microcontrollers (STM32 / ESP32 or similar)
Experience with cellular modems (LTE / NB-IoT / GSM), GPS / GNSS, and BLE
Experience with HTTPS, OTA, and raw TCP socket programming (custom binary / text protocols)
Familiarity with embedded security (secure boot, signed firmware, TLS, key storage)
Strong understanding of power management and low-level interfaces (UART / SPI / I2C)
Preferred Skills
Automotive systems / CAN BUS experience
IoT / tracking systems background
MQTT experience
Experience handling real-world field issues
